First basic design (War Ship). More to come.

 

Lighting test. Trying to learn how to create the metalsmooth shading you find in most concepts. (Not actual design but is my own design).

Some silhouettes to help me with some ideas. Was going to go for a sort of badass, not give a sh*t Santa. But i thought id play it safe and give him his regular costume.

These are my some what final designs. Im seeing an improivement in my painting but no way near where i wantr to be. But im really happy with the speed i can now work at and get and opk design or painting down without dwelling over it.

More Designs

 

So ye iv done a few more scenery desgns for the crash. The two top images already have the crash but the bottom images is the area before the crash. I did this to get a good understanding of the building and how there stood. But I really like the first crash image with the toppled car in the foreground then the crash in the midground, then i could have some buildings in the background.

I LOVE NEW YORK

 

Greatest city in the world,New York project. I was thinking doing something with the Brooklyn Bridge because its in the south east area. Or maybe China town as that's sort of in that general area. Most likely though i could have the plane just crashed into the bridge and its about to collapse from the middle.

Final Design. I went witha strange creature that looks with an ieye in its chest. Its face is just a giant unfolding mouth that works like an 'alians' extending jaw. The creature has a hunan face when the hidious mouth is not revialed. But the face has circular scare like gaps where each layer unfolds. Its body works like chameleon and its scale like skin changes like goosebumps.

Just a couple of facial ideas as the face is usually the prime area of the scare factor.

Arfter choosing the face I did some body positions to fit the mood. 



HALLOWEEN!!

 

Iv done my mood board in a more 'Monsters' style theme. This is because monsters fall into the category of Halloween. 

I love the Iron Man interpretation. It's iron man but in a sort of monster theme. Id love to do my own interpretation of a Halloween Supermonster!

I also got some images of some strange stances to help me with the dead look.

So i took the picture i liked best and drew it in Photoshop. Not too happy with it really. Painting scenery is really difficult and frustrating to learn. MORE PRACTICE!

Some Perspective Help.

 Yeeeeeeeeeeee, I would move these images in a better order but its retarded and wont let me.

But ye i made these in 2ds max to get a few camera views on how i want to draw and paint the scenery. Also gives me an accurate perspective.

I'm liking the images of these dark human/alien figures standing on or walking over giant trees. It really makes you think where they could be and what they are doing there.

Some Weird Surreal Sh*t

 

 Really starting to get the hang of painting with a tablet. My painting still looks a bit Matt like so i still need to work on it a bit (shiny, skin imperfections). Overall it was just a painting but to make something surreal I added a bit of weird by adding a skull, which i a picture placed over by the way.

What's Up Surreal Monkey?

 

I couldn't think of anything to draw for surrealism or if i could i could not think of how i could draw it. So i did like most people do and photo shop my own design. The image is based on a particular artist which you can see on my mood board.
